Sorry for the total newbie question, but I have not been able to find
documentation on this...

I have an AS400 in our network (our IS department maintains, but does not
have an answer to this question) running the current version of OS400 (V5R3M0
), and I would like to change the AS400 profile password with a windows
password change.

Can Host Integration Server handle this? Or am I asking too much? Thanks!!

Yes, HIS can do this, with some help... HIS 2004 ships with the SSO feature
which handles taking "Windows" password changes and shipping them to a.n.other
platform. What it doesn't have, out of the box, is the code that runs on the
other platform - i.e. an AS/400 in your case. For that you need a 3rd party
adapter supplied by Proginet. I believe these are relatively low cost though.
