Hi!

We are in the process of documenting a migration for a client. We are going
to be putting in new servers out in branch offices that currently have a
server. These new servers are going to have a different name so when we
migrate over the printers the server they reside on will change.

Here is my question. Is there a way to automate the reconfiguration of the
printers on the workstations without having to login as each person?

This seems like such an easy task yet I can find nothing on how to do this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.
Marcy

Hi,

Regarding your question: There is no such way to reconfiguration the
printer settings on workstations. I think what you need to do is deploy the
printer in AD and the client may find it easily.

About how to deploy printer, please refer to following article:
/directory/activedirectory/bpadprn.mspx>

Hope it helps.
