Hello,

I'm looking to do an in-place upgrade from NT4 to 2003. We have about 200
nodes in this office, and then several Citrix Servers serving 1400
Clinicians. There's the PCD and two BDCs in the main office, and one that's
in another office.

We'll be testing with MS Virtual PC 2005. Should I be worried about this
upgrade? Does it usually go well? What are some of the most common issues?

If I set aside an NT4 BDC, and then we upgrade to AD.. if something goes
wrong is there any going back to that BDC (promoting it) and going back to
original domain and forgetting AD until another attempt?

Should Citrix be an issue?

Thanks,

Patrick

Hi Patrick,

So far we didn't hear any problems about ctrix issue in migration process.
However, your wariness is valueable. As you said, you may take a BDC
offline before you process migration. If migratin faild you may took it
online and promote to PDC to recover from the disaster.
