Hi,

I have installed MOM 2000 in a domain with 4 SQL Servers. It looks like the
agents are all running on the SQL Servers. I get event messages from only one
SQL Server and the others do not log any events to the MOM database. I logged
onto one SQL server and did a Raiserror with log in order to create an error
event and this event was not sent to MOM. So, my question is how can I
trouble shoot events not getting propergated to MOM? Any best practices or
teniques?

some basic techniques you can use are:

try to setup a telnet connection to the the mom server on port 1270, if you
can't connect, check firewall settings etc.
check if your computer is recognized by the mom server
try to use logevent from the mom resource kit
make sure your computer is member of the correct computer groups and the
rules will catch your generated error

succes,
Jan
