Hopefully you purchased a PC that included both software support and
hardware support. Chances are they are going to have you completely reload
your system. If you have anything you want to save on your machine, it is
best to do it before calling your manufacturer.

If not... If you can tell us how you got to this newsgroup, I would
definitely be glad to get you directed over to the correct newsgroup. Not
being mean, but don't install anything that comes from a pop-up
advertisement. Research anything (www.google.com and groups.google.com are
good starts) before you install it.

Your questions would be best directed to a newsgroup related to your OS
(assuming Windows XP).

This newsgroup is dedicated to Microsoft's Live Communication Server. LCS
is a Real-Time Collaboration product that provides internal Instant
Messaging (IM) capabilities and presence awareness. LCS also includes
functionality to archive Instant Messages to a SQL server.

LCS is popular with corporations and organizations who don't want to give up
the benefits of IM and presence, but require a solution to be brought
in-house so that they may meet their compliance objectives, such as
archiving and secure communications.

More information regarding Live Communication Server can be found at:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/livecomm/prodinfo/overview.mspx
or
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/FX010908711033.aspx

The Microsoft support site is http://support.microsoft.com and has support
centers related to many Microsoft products.

Regards,

Bob
