This is the full message in FRSDiag:
NtFrs 19/09/2005 19:06:33 Warning 13523 The message '-2147470125' for
application 'NtFrs' could not be formatted using library(ies):
'C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntfrsres.dll'. The log entry contains the following
replacement strings:'675840', '1585936'

It seems this problem stopped the replication.
I changed the registry value to 3000000 (3gb) but it doesnt seem to have
restarted. Do I have to restart it manually?
How do I do that?

Ultrasound also tells me service paused because Staging area is full.
How do I restart it?

You should start by restarting FRS (net stop ntfrs and then net start
ntfrs). Otherwise it will be a reboot. I would have thought restarting the
service is enough though as FRS reads all settings from AD and registry at
startup.

You obviously need whatever amount of free space that you have set for the
staging directory. You also need an additional 512MB for the USN Journal.
I would consider increasing the Journal if you are replicating lots of large
files.

Thanks a lot.
I had to put the the staging file size to 4gb so much files we have in that
share.
We therfore decided to split it to many different smaller shares.
I stopped the replication and will have to do it differently.
Once the replication is stopped and reference to the new target is deleted,
can I delete the files in the new target and in the Staging files directory?

You should remove the replica and link first. As the staging information is
stored in the database.

Once you have gracefully removed the replication information you can
recreate new links and new replicas.
