HELP i need the FRS knowledge!!

I have a dc that replicates normal ad changes succesfully, even shares
the sysvol successfully. frsdiag shows no errors not even one.
its replication partners have a backlog for it but as far as it is
aware it has no problems.

tried a non auth restore of the AD to it to no avail. attempted a
dcpromo out of the domain to rejoin thus recreate sysvol links but it
wont let me due to FRS issues!

losing hair over ths one!

any help is appreciated

have you considered performing a non-authorative restore of the SYSVOL?

To do so, stop NtFrs set BurFlags to D2 and then start NtFrs.

BurFlags is a value under:

HKLM\ SYSTEM\ CurrentControlSet\ Services\ NtFrs\ Parameters\
Backup/Restore\ Process at Startup

This should be done on the dodgy server.
