The File Replication Service is having trouble enabling replication from
US-server1 to US-server2 for d:\software using the DNS name
us-server1.ariba.com. FRS will keep retrying.
Following are some of the reasons you would see this warning.

[1] FRS can not correctly resolve the DNS name us-server1.ariba.com from
this computer.
[2] FRS is not running on us-server1.ariba.com.
[3] The topology information in the Active Directory for this replica has
not yet replicated to all the Domain Controllers.

This event log message will appear once per connection, After the problem
is fixed you will see another event log message indicating that the
connection has been established.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

If I remember correctly that's a 13508. Is there a following 13509?

If so, and this is infrequent it's probably nothing to worry about. If it's
happening a lot, or there's no 13509s then you probably have a DNS problem.

If you run DCDIAG /V /E do you get errors?

We use Cisco CNR and have weird issues from time to time.
