I am currently prepping for a inter-forest domain migration of Groups/Computer/Server/Users/Mail from one 2003 Native Domain to another 2003 native child domain in another forest.

I am just trying to confirm some steps and if there are any pointers I can take going into the migration.

I know for starters

Universal
Global
Domain Local
Groups are to be migrated first without the members

User accounts
Computer Accounts
- replace
Security Translation
Exchange Migration

The two biggest things I would love to accomplish is.

a user profile from the source domain is the same as the target domain after they log in.

Sid History is a must to access source domain resources until they are migrated.

A users outlook profile is updated properly, i know I will be using exprofre.exe but kind of leary about the Cache Mode in Outlook 2003.

again any help would be great. I know there was a very good post early on but I am having trouble locating it.

Thanks

Brian
