No. For simplicities sake, just perform a non-authorative restore.

Search this group for info. on how to do this - I've posted it many times.

You basically set burFlags to D2. Burflags is a value of:
HKLM\ SYSTEM\ CurrentControlSet\ Services\ NtFrs\ Parameters\
Backup/Restore\ Process at Startup

You need to stop FRS first and start again after setting the reg value.
