When you delete files on a network IE the file server
from a workstation, where do the deleted files go, I've
looked in the recycle bin on the server as well as the
local workstation and cant find them

Thank you

Hi,

By design, files deleted by network clients never go into the Recycle Bin,
so make sure the files in question were deleted locally.

Files Do Not Show Up in Recycle Bin When Deleted

If you can not find the files on the server there are third party tools
[some free] that can recover the files, or you could try to restore from a
backup. If using Windows 2003 Server you can enable Volume Shadow Copy that
can allow users with the shadow client to recover the files themselves based
on a schedule you set for shadow backups. This should not become a
substitute for regular backups however. --- Steve

File Scavenger is pretty good.
