Hello,

Is it possible to remove the actions on the left side of the screen below
the Area list for users other than the administrators?

The Actions menu appears based on permissions. Users with rights to manage
the area and similar permissions will see the Actions menu as well as any
user with Alerts enabled. If you have users who see too many items under
Actions, you need to adjust their permissions. You could manually remove the
Actions menu from the site definition code, but then no user group would see
it and you couldn't easily use alerts.

Could you explain a little bit more in details about exactly what
rights/permissions can make the users be able to see the Actoins menu? (Can a
user in Reader site group see the Actions menu? Can a user in Contributor
site group see the Actions menu?) Thanks!
