Hello,

As with any major upgrade I forgot to remove the DFS share to a directory on
a Win Storage Server. I want to move those files and delete them from the
WSServer because they have a new home on another server. My question is how
do I get around redeploying the old hardware JUST to remove the DFS share to
be able to work with these files in a normal fashion?

Seems I cannot move them or delete them because it tells me they are
currently in use.

Was the old DFS root a domain root or a stand alone one? There's a KB that
details cleaning up DFS. There's a couple of things we can try. Can you
please elaborate on the setup?

It was a domain root, I wish I could remember exactly what I did to delete
the files. I was able to delete them though it was a little time consuming. I
seem to remember that I had to unshare the folder first. Then I was able to
delete them all.

12 days is a long time to remember what was happening then, I know I
searched for a valid KB article but struck out... if you have the link I'd
appreciate it.

Thanks!
