Hello,

I used Ultrasound, Sonar and NTFRS and encounte the bug mentioned in
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=815473.
Microsoft said it does not provide Windows 2000 Hotfixes for free any longer
because of it's life-cycle politics and that I should ask the newsgroups.
Does someone have the Hotfix for a Windows 2000 SP4 German System?

Note for free. That means you can probably buy it for £200.

Otherwise, you might want to see if this is in UR1 (Update Rollup 1).

(I don't have it I'm afraid)

Hello Paul,

thanks for your answer, but as I said Microsoft told me to ask here because
they don't provide it for free any longer. The Update roll-up is installed
but as documented in KB891861 it only contains security-related updates that
were produced for Windows 2000 between the release of Windows 2000 SP4 and
April 30, 2005.

So I'm still searching for someone that already got the update from
Microsoft (Probably for free before the mainstream support for Windows 2000
ended in July 2005)

Ah sorry, I didn't realise it wasn't a security update or that MSFT told you
to ask here.
