I wonder if you guys can help, I am very new to HIS2004 and
devleopment as a whole :),

I have installed HIS 2004 and sucsessfully created a data sourse with
the wizard and previewed the data!!!

Now how the hell do I get a external (another box) sql 2005 SSIS
package to connect to the HIS server in order to pull the data out
into another app.

I have searched high and low for a white paper ect please help

thanks

Robbie,

Unless your underlying connection is LU6.2 then you don't actually need a HIS
Server per-se. For tcp-ip connections to, say, DB/2, you install the HIS
software onto the "client" machine (a server in your case) you want to run the
query from.
