using HIS as a data source |

I wonder if you guys can help, I am very new to HIS2004 and
devleopment as a whole :),
I have installed HIS 2004 and sucsessfully created a data sourse with
the wizard and previewed the data!!!
Now how the hell do I get a external (another box) sql 2005 SSIS
package to connect to the HIS server in order to pull the data out
into another app.
I have searched high and low for a white paper ect please help

install the HIS Client on your SQL server box create the data source and use
it to connect to your host system

Robbie,
Unless your underlying connection is LU6.2 then you don't actually need a HIS
Server per-se. For tcp-ip connections to, say, DB/2, you install the HIS
software onto the "client" machine (a server in your case) you want to run the
query from.
