It is unclear from the documentation what is needed to generate or trouble
shoot a coupon generation process. I have created a discount and coupon and
started a batch generation but the discount manager show "coupon generation
in queue" and does not ever generate any coupons. Is there somthing else
that I am missing?

Thanks,
Eric

Hi Eric,

Have you started the Promotion Code Generator? The discount manager only
sets up a request for a coupon generation. The actual generation is
handled by the Promotion Code Generator.

By default the Promotion Code Generator was not started, which would cause
your request to just sit around in the queue.

Please see the installation guide for instructions on how to start it:

You hit the nail on the head. I missed that step. Unfortunatly it would not
start due to an access denied error. I will post that tomorrow. At least I
am one step closer to getting this figured out.

Thanks,
Eric
