Thank you to all. I was able to figure it all out by reading your
posts. Thanks again.

Now, with the catalog manager tool in FP 1. How do I give access to
users throughout the company? Do they have to RDP to the server where
it is running? I know it sounds like a silly question, but I really
have no idea. Thank you.

What are you trying to give acess to?
Are you talking about giving access to users for Managing Catalogs?

Yes, I have users who are in different parts of the company i.e.
marketing, sales, etc who would need to update the catalog. Therefore,
I need to give them access to the catalog manager tool.

FP1 installs a chm file named CS_FPCHM.chm

If you dont have it you can download the FP1 chm file from
After you complete the installation, get the latest version of Microsoft
Commerce Server 2002 FP1 Help from
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=24907.

Read for the section "Assigning Users Access to the Web Service
Authorization Manager Policy" (search for CatalgoEditor)
This section explains the various roles in the catalog and marketing
systems and how to add the users to them
The various catalog roles are
CatalogAdministrator, CatalogEditor, CatalogSystemViewer
You need to categorize your users and then add them to the appropriate
roles. The doc also contains information on how to add users to roles using
azman.msc
