Re: Sharepoint teamservices 1.0 Uploading Excel with Macro's |

I have not had that specific problem with my system; however, a little
research in other newsgroups indicates that the problem you are encountering
may be a browser issue rather than a Sharepoint issue. Does the macro error
occur only when the Excel spreadsheet is opened in a browser window? If so,
the user's computer can be configured to open Excel documents outside of the
IE window (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/162059/). Another (remote)
possibility may be if you are running Windows 2000 pre-service pack 3 and
trying to open files with a file & path longer than 255 characters.

the document through the upload process on our SharePoint site, but when
we
try to view the excel we get a runtime error that states it is a bad file
name or number. The excel will open but the macro will either not work or
you
have to select something in the sheet to get the macro to start. We have
also
had where we can not open the excel at all if there is a macro.
The excel/macros work fine when they are not posted in SharePoint
Teamservices.
