i have setup a domian dfs between 6 server. i would like to remove this dfs
now but am not sure on the best way to do so.

The best way is probably to use the DFS Snap In or DFSUTIL. Have you tried
this? If you have, and have had problems there are other ways of removing
and also cleaning up.

ok i have removed them with the DFS snapin, is there anything else i should
look at to check to make sure its all been removed from each server?
