DHCP option 81 |
|
|
Hi,
I'm having problems with my DHCP clients not refreshing their host records
in DNS. I understand DHCP option 81 servers this purpose, but when I go into
my Win2k DHCP server options, I don't have an option 81. The options end at
076. Any ideas?
Thanks for your help,
Chris |

This is enabled by default and is configurable in the DHCP MMC by viewing
the properties of the server and selecting the DNS tab. If that doesn't
give you what you're looking for post the types of clients you're having
trouble with and maybe someone can provide some more insight.

Thanks J.C.,
I also came across a discussion elsewhere that stated the said tab was the
representation of option 081. That clears it up!
Thanks again
