An event ID of 23 will have an outage code in the error. It would be nice to
know that.
An Event ID of 230 means you have the mac adress correct for the host, but
the XIDs are incorrectly configured. Check with your host people on the
proper settings for the connection.
Thanks,
Charles

No, not really, as I can't remember which one a 223 is, since we have
several thousand messages that can be posted, and different components can
and do use the same Event ID #.
So, if you could post the actual text of the message, that would be helpful.
A 230 for XID failures is a configuration issue and you have incorrectly
configured the XIDs. A 230 for TEST command failures means you can't even
get to the MAC address of the host, and this is also a configuraiton issue
(SAPS or MAC address are incorrect), or the routers/bridges are not passing
the frame through so a configuration issue on the router/bridge.
Actual text from the error is helpful. Event ID's alone are almost useless
in determining a problem without knowing the exact error message and who
(component) logged it.
For instance, Event ID 23's have 10+ different outage codes that can be
logged, so I can't pull a solution for you there out of a hat without more
details.
Thanks,
Charles
