Ok, this is getting tedious now.
Could somebody please suggest any reason why I can't get the retail
solution site to work..?!
After unpacking the site, and going to the location in a web browser
(machinename/site), the 404 page connot be found error appears. This
is quite cleary rubbish. I unpacked the business desk to
machinename/site/admin and that actually brings a page back. Although
it is the one that says there is an error in the business application.
I did try the startersite2002 and after getting the correct web.ui
thing, this seems to work Although as posted by someone else here, not
when you try and login or register..? (does it require https to be
setup?) The business desk for this app also does nothing. I've tried
turning the global.asa vars to DEVELOPMENT, but
that has no effect.
So in summary:
The retail solution site does nothing - to the extent of even not
appearing to be there.
Starter Site 2002 half works after installing some web.ui thing,
although any login/register page times out. (great)
The business desks explain there was an error accessing them, but
utterly fail to suggest what the error might be.
Setup:
Win 2k3 server
MSCS 2002 SP3 evaluation.
Please help I need to start the project today, and it's not looking
that good seeing as I can't even get the software installed! I've
tried this on 2 other machines now, win2k server, mscs2002+ sp3, and
win2k3 mscs2002 +FP1 all with more or less the same results.
