"Some files can harm your computer" |
|
|
Hi all!
I have a network drive "X:" connected to "\\gsdc\internet", where GSDC
is my Windows 2000 Domain Controller and "internet" is a share on this
server. If I open a file from my Windows Server 2003 client, I get this
warning:
http://www.mkcs.at/temp/w2k3_filedownload.jpg
Although I searched through Google and Google Groups, I couldn't find a
solution for this. The one I found very often stated, I should add
"gsdc" to the trusted sites zone, but this didn't worked out.
Could anyone please help me?
Best regards,
Michael |

It is a warning message to alert you that you are accessing an executeable
file. Just select the option to open it if you want to install it. ---

Sorry, but I know why the dialog comes up. That hasn't been the
question. I want to know how to turn it off.

I had this problem as well but managed to solve by adding domain name to
trusted sites.
you have to add the FQDN to the trusted sites.
The easiest way to do it is to add "*.domain.com" to you trusted sites where
domain.com is your domain name. You have to untick the box about only
allowing secure sites to be added.
Hope this helps
