I am trying to remove computers from the operations console these computers
were taken off the network and have been rebuilt. The comuters had MOM
agents installed that I pushed out from the Admin console. When I try to
uninstall the agent I get an error saying the computer cannot be contacted to
remove the agent.
How do I remove the agent from the database when the computer is no longer
available. this is MOM 2005.

If you are in the same situation as me where the old computer shows up in
Pending Actions but not in All Computers, Agent Managed Computers or
Unmanaged Computers, try the following article:

I did it and it worked for me. Make sure you have a full OnePoint DB backup
1st tho as this involved running a SQL Query directly against the OnePoint DB
to rip out the old server information.

Hope this helps.

Hi Robert,

If you are having the same problem as I was where an old machine shows up in
Pending Actions but no-where else meaning you can't delete it, try this
article.

http://myitforum.techtarget.com/articles/2/view.asp?id=2566

It contains a SQL Query to run directly against the OnePoint DB. Please make
sure you have a full backup of the OnePoint DB before running the SQL query
as it acually rips the old server details out of the DB.

Hope this helps,

Andy Dominey.
