This very basic connectivity problem is driving me crazy, I installed the HIS
2004 client on my machine, then I used the Data Source wizard to create a new
data source, then in the validation window of the wizard I tried the Connect
button and got:

Successfully connected to data source 'New Data Source'.
Server class: DB2/400
Server version: 05.01.0000

So far so good, then I tried the Packages button and got:

Connected to data source 'New Data Source'.
AUTOCOMMITTED package has been created.
READ COMMITTED package has been created.
READ UNCOMMITTED package has been created.
SERIALIZABLE package has been created.
REPEATABLE READ package has been created.
The package creation process has completed successfully.

Great, then I finally tried the Sample Query button and got:

Could not connect to data source 'New Data Source':
One or more errors occurred during processing of command.
SQL error occurred. SQLSTATE: HY000, SQLCODE: -372

After trying many configuration variations, I started the SNA Trace and
found this problem (only relevant part of the Trace shown):

It seems like when trying to list the tables in the catalog I'm getting some
sort of error (I've used several users, QSECOFR included). So, anybody can
point me to a way of solving this problem?

Edgar,

A quick test (at least for AS/400's) is to actually log into the AS/400 with
the userID and password you are using in the UDL see if you can view things
properly, and make a change. If this works successfully, then open a case
with PSS and be ready to provide the traces. We will need to see internal +
message traces, so if you only did one set, please retrace.

Oh - and we'll need to see the UDL also.
