SSL and WSS Sites |
|
|
Please help with the following question:
With multiple WSS sites, such as
site1.mycrosoft.com
site2.mycrosoft.com
Can all these sites be secured with SSL certificates?
Please advice on the solution.

Yes, you would need to get a wildcard certificate.

Can WSS multiple virtual servers be applied with SSL
certificates without problem? It seems using host name
resolution. I am not sure about it.

The certificate needs to be bound to a site with an IP address rather
than "all unassigned". I don't think using specific IP addresses with
WSS is a supported configuration.

I see now that this identical message was also posted to the SPS newsgroup
(twice).
Please post messages only to one newsgroup so that two lots of people are
not spending time answering questions that have already been answered
elsewhere!
You either have SPS 2003 or you have (standalone) WSS - post accordingly.
