Dear all,

I have installed 2 windows 2003 servers node cluster for printing. I found
the respond time is slow in comparing our existing NT4 print cluster during
browsing the virtual server. And sometimes, the "net print" command could
not display the print queue information. Please advise.

What kind of printer drivers are you using?

Cheers,

Rod

Dear Rod,

They are XP driver. We check from the sniffier that it wait for a while in
looking WINS server. The cluster servers were installed in computer room and
client connect with a number of router and switch.

To me this problem sounds like you get some DNS timeout. Could it be that
your virtual hosts are not in the DNS server? When this happens the
clients first try to connect to your virtual host through dns but this
fails and the then try to find them in Wins. This timeout is what you
probebly see.
