Hi,

In MOM 2000 there was an *incredibly* useful utility that
allowed you to import a dll into MOM and rules would be
created around the dll information.

Is this facility available in MOM 2005 ? I can't see it in
the interface...

Look at the MP Wizard in the reskit online. It creates a better MP.

Yeah, I used it the other day to knock up a test MP for Trend ScanMail. I
really like it. Especially the fact it integrates into the State View.
Real nice. :)

thanks Bill,

Im slightly confused though - this appears to allow simple
configuration of things like service monitoring etc,
however I am looking to mass import all the eventid's in
a .dll that our developers have written. Will this help
me do this, like the previous version did ?

Thanks

Mike

Yep - it does that too. Instead of just that specific function, the MP
Wizard creates custom roles for state monitoring and some other odds and
ends.
