I have installed Communication server in my network and everthing seems
working within. I have published the Comm server so that when people/staff
are outside they can still use Widows Messenger. I have tried everything I
know but this is not working.

Any Idea Please.

Thanks.

Windows 5.1 can be used, unsecured, with TCP as I understand it. Most of
the organizations I have worked prefer to use TLS over TCP on 5061 or 443,
rather than just opening flat TCP over 5060. The kicker is generally
getting the certificates setup.
Another thing to remember is that you will have to change authentication
from Kerberos to NTLM and Keberos or NTLM. Clients outside the firewall
generally can't talk to the KDC and be granted a Kerberos ticket. My
understanding is that the Kerberos ticket request can't be encapsulated in
the SIP packet easily, but the NTLM traffic can be encapsulated.

There are several things that you may need and Microsoft has documented
these well. By the word published, I am going to assume that you are using
ISA server. My response includes the basic EOUS document as well as the
ISA-specific information.
