I'm using Portal Server 2003
Call the very top level site A.
Ok, from A, I create a subsite. Call that A1.
Now, from A1, I create a site. Call that A1.1
Diagram below expresses the simple tree of sites:

A--- (company level site)
|
|A1---|(internal user site for project 1)
|
|A1.1 (customer/client site for project 1)

And, from A, I can see a link to A1 on right side of page,
that informs me of a subsite. Nice.
But, when I'm at A1, I have no list of A1.1 unless I do
some fancy menu-work like Site Settings>Show Sites and
Workspaces. And, I can't find a sites list among web-
parts.

Why is is that A1 doesn't show a link to it's subsite?
How do I make it show its child sites?

And, along the same line, would my top level site A ever
express that there were two subsites...A1 and it's "child"
A1.1 or am I stuck with it only reflecting it's
immediate "child" but not "grandchild?"

As an unrelated question...where A1.1 is my
customer/client site, how can I get a notfication whenever
my customer adds data to that site since I may have to
respond to his/her postings?

Thanks,
Joe

U may need a web [art to help u see all sub sites..
http://www.gotdotnet.com/Community/UserSamples/Details.aspx?SampleGuid=a88dceb5-6b53-416e-8b06-b8ed84827e97

And if u wanna get notification, u have to add Alert on each list at that
site.
