You have to look to a 3rd party product, such as Radvision, for a product
that will allow multi-party conferencing (outside of Instant Messages)
through Windows Messenger. Unfortunately, all of the messenger traffic is
peer-to-peer and only the initiation to connect passes through LCS.
Radvision acts as a connector, of sorts. I think the technical term is
T.120 (for the client) and H.323 (for the gateway). LCS 2005 does not serve
this space.
It is possible to use NetMeeting (Start...run... conf <enter>). The conf
application will launch the NetMeeting app. If you haven't configured it,
it will launch the configuration program.
Another option is ConferenceXP (www.conferencexp.net), a product from
Microsoft research.
