Automate Locking of Windows 2000 Workstations through GPO. |

G/Day forum,
Is there a way of configuring Group Policy to automatically lock all
Workstations in a specific OU?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Steve. |

Yes. Set a Group Policy and configure:
1. screensaver to time-out at whatever interval you want (i.e. after 10
minutes)
2. Require password for unlocking.
These settings can be found in User Configuration | Administrative Templates
| Control Panel | Display:
Password Protect Screen Saver (ENABLE)
Screensaver (ENABLE)
Screen Saver Timeout (ENABLE)
number of seconds to wait to enable the screen saver (600
seconds)
good luck.

If you want to do this on a timeout basis, have a look at this:
