I rebooted my SBS 2003 the other day and it got to the screen that says
"applying computer settings" and then just sits there. No lock up, color bar
moving, but no logon. I let it sit for an hour or so and then forcibly shut
it down and rebooted. After a bit I got a logon screen and sucessfully logged
on but after the background screen came up I still got the "applying computer
setting" splash and now it is sitting there again. Any suggestions? John

Try booting into safe mode without networking and check your settings
and binding order on the NICs.

If that still doesn't work, install loopback adapters and copy the NIC
settings to these, then disconnect and disable the NICs.you should then
be able to boot normally.

Test the NICs, replace if necessary, reconnect and re-run the CEICW.
