How do I set up the Helpdesk functionality in Sharepoint to automatically
send me an e-mail when a user adds a job? The e-mail address is an external
address.

John,

Just subscribe on the Helpdesk to be notified for any new entry. You
can change the email address right there.

John,

I think all you need to do is setup an external contact in AD and then you
should be able to setup alerts for that Contact. I did this a while back
and it worked. Not sure if this is the correct way but it worked OK for me.

Thanks
Dave
