I have a Domain DFS, and I have the DFS links replicating as reccomended.
What happens if my DFS root server goes down? Do I have to reconfigure a
new root server, will my DFS still be available. What are the repercussions
of this event?

If the single root server goes down, the namespace is not available. Any
attempt to access \\domain\root will fail for clients.

To increase redundancy of a domain DFS namespace, we recommend using
multiple root targets (but do not enable FRS replication on them).
