ComputerConnect "Page not found" |
|
|
Hi All,
This is a new SBS2K3 install. Everything went well until I try to run
"\\server\computerconnect" form client PC, I get a "page not found..."
My "companyweb" comes up fine and I can manually join the domain with the
client PC's. Sharepoint problem perhaps? Any help is greatly appreciated...
Thank you,
Jeff |

Hi Jeff
I had the same thing, which took me ages. You aren't trying to get to that
page when you have joined/logged into the domain rather than the local
computer, are you - that's what I did.
If you log off and then log in, but to the local computer, rather than the
domain, you should find that the page will come up (it will just tell you
that you have already joined it, but at least you can then prove that the
setup is ok!)

Not to state the obvious but it's ConnectComputer and not computerconnect.

Hi Neil,
I had tried to run the "connect" before joining the domain. The PC is a new
install as well. Booted up, it grabbed the DHCP and DNS from the server (I
could browse the Internet, download updates and such), just couldn't use the
connect computer in a browser.

Sorry about that, it was a typo in my post. Long day.... When I actually
ran it on the PC it was \\servername\ConnectComputer....
