I wanna my domain users also can view MOM 2005's web console, when they open
the page, MOM prompts "You are not authorized to view this page." after
re-type password three time. If I add the users to domain admins group, they
can successfully open the pages, but thats I wanted. I just want they have
the lowest permission while they can view pages.
Thank you. |

Adding the users to the Mom Users group on the web service machine should be
enough to accomplish what you want. Please let me know if this doesn't
resolve the issue.

In fact, before I tried to open the web console, I've added the users to MOM
Users group, but it doesn't work as expected. |

I installed the web console on a DC, maybe, the users should be authorized
"logon on locally"? |

The RTM version of WebConsole doesn't work on a DC. The problem will be
fixed in SP1. |

Re: Web Console prompts |

I tried to install the web console on my XP Pro SP2 laptop to be able to
monitor it from there and got the pre-rec warning that it has to be installed
on Win2000 server as a minimum?? So I HAVE to install it on a server to use
it??

I am running MOM 2005 SP1, the database portion is installed on a 2003 SBS
DC and the rest is installed on a 2003 member server in the same domain.
Admin and Operator panels work fine, but the Web Console keeps giving me "403
- Forbidden" when I try to log in. I have added my account to MOM Users and
MOM Admins, but no change. I saw a posting from an MVP saying there was an
issue with this configuration, but he has not replied to my post in the other
thread.
What else do I have to do to make this work?

Had the same problem and just fixed it by changing the Default Document listed in IIS for the MOM Web Console.
The Default Documents listed are:
- Default.asp
- Default.htm
Non of these files exist, so I added default.aspx, global.aspx, and Main.aspx.
Not sure which one is the correct one.
Now the website works just fine. Don't forget to add the user accounts to the MOM Users group.
