Restore using SPSBackup |
|
|
Hello,
I'm trying to verify that my SPSBackups are successful by
restoring from "last night's" backups.
Can anyone tell me the steps that are necessary to
restore the Portal OVERTOP of the existing portal?
I have a medium server farm config (2 front-end web
search, 1 job/index, 1 SQL).
My thoughts are:
1. unextend the virtual server from 1 front-end web server
2. delete the portal site
3. delete the _site, _serv & _prof databases from the SQL
server
4. restore the SITEDBS using SPSbackup.
Is this the correct procedure, or what am I missing?
Many thanks.

Thanks Ray, but there are no SPECIFIC instructions in the
DR section of the Resource kit. It's trial and error...
