If you want to monitor services with MOM2005, you should use the wizard. For
MOM2000, use the old method.

Unfortunately this tool is limited in that each service must be named. I
wish to monitor all automatic services with an exception list.

The Management Pack Wizard that comes with the MOM 2005 Resource Kit. It's
used to create custom management packs.

This wizzard is the "cats meow" I've used it when vendors don't want to
create managment packs.
Point the wizzard at the DLL they use to log events, and it pulls everything
that can be logged eventvwr for that app.
LOC:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Operations Manager Resource Kit\Tools\Management
Pack Wizard
You can also create new state views with this. HOWEVER, I don't know how to
delete them. Somebody said this is a free support call to get this removed,
if anybody has the process to remove these, I'd like to see it.
