Problem with access proxy. |
|
|
I'has intall my LCS 2005, and active mi clients, and work perfect with tls
and tcp.
then I try to allow remote access to my users...so I istall another server
with windows server 2003, and LCS 2005 with the rol of Access Proxy, and
change my registry in my DNS so the tls and tcp protocols go to access
proxy, then I config my Firewalll (ISA 2004).
then I try to connect from outside my Organitation to my LCS2005 (with the
last windows messeger), but I can't do it... there it's a problem with you
certificate....
the I change my DNS to redirects tls and tcp to my fist LCS 2005, no access
proxy, the home server... And tray againg to access... and I can access
correctly... I check my certificate in my access proxy and it's perfect but
I can't access outside my organitation....but went I change to my home
server I can do it....so what it's the real fuction of access proxy in LCS
2005....
what could be my problem...??? |

Possibly more than one problem
The client you use to test outside the organization, is this also the same
client you are using to test internally? If yes then ignore this point. If
no, then it is likely you are missing the root authority certificate on
this client machine.
You mentioned ISA 2004 are you publishing the Access Proxy and did you
follow the steps in the deployment guides? Bypass ISA (assuming it is in
use) and test the connection.

Gustavo,
Internal DNS should point to the Home Server. The external DNS records
should point to the ISA IP address which is publishing the Access Proxy
server, or you can use an FQDN and IP address in HOSTS file.
A remote user has to connect to the Access Proxy or else they are not
considered remote.
