I have to configure the 3270 session for every user logon for the workstation.
is there a way to do a config file and have all of the users on the
workstation using the same one. when i login as user1 i have to first config
3270 cleint and it will save the setting for user1. but if i login has user2
i have to do the same for it.
i would like to only config the 3270 once have it work for all of the users.
any help would be helpfull
thanks

Assuming you're using the HIS supplied 3270 emulator - win3270.exe.

Just configure the session the way you want it - i.e. pointing at the pool name
you want. Then save that as <xxx>.cfg.

Put a shortcut/icon in the "all users" profile pointing at :-

"<program files>\Microsoft Host Integration Server\system\win3270.exe
<xxx>.cfg"

Then when any user clicks on that they'll get the right session.

Andy,

Sorry I typoed when keying it into the post. The <xxx.cfg> should be outside the
quotes.

"<program files>\Microsoft Host Integration Server\system\win3270.exe"
<xxx>.cfg
