Hi,

I would like to know more about GC replication in AD comparing between W2K
and Windows 2003. Is there any good document that anyone of you can refer me
to? How is Windows 2003 better in terms of replication topology?

That is a pretty good book.

The other major thing that Windows 2003 offers is that it will now only
replicate changes to multi-valued attributes and won't replicate the entire
thing (ie: user gets added to a universal group, it will now only replicate
the one user addition and not the entire group membership). This is only
available in a forest that is Windows Server 2003 Forest Functional Level.

The KCC is responsible for calculating a routing topology. I haven't seen and
I doubt any publicly available documents exist that talk in detail about how
Microsoft improved the KCC, just that they did.

There is a Microsoft Press book titled "Active Directory for Microsoft
Windows Server 2003 Technical Reference" by Stan Reimer and Mike Mulcare that
talks a little bit about the improved KCC. Again, it doesn't go into much
detail. ISBN of this book is 0-7356-1577-2 if you are interested.
