Using Retrospect Backup Software to back up to a Exabyte VXA 2 Tape

The Retrospect runs in the Admin's name and apssword but there are always a
bunch of files that it reports it does not copy because of Sharing
Violation.

Is there a different account I should Use ?

If I use a system account - what is the name and password ???

The message is due to files being in use, not to account permissions.

If you use NTBackup (which I prefer) or SBS Backup (which sorta sits on top
of NTBackup) I believe shadow services will eliminate this problem.

What's the reason for Retrospect? I have to admit that the last time I used
it (on a W2k Pro PC) I found the interface god-awful and unintuitive....and
you do have a built-in backup utility.

If you must go third party, I suggest Backup Exec. And I hope Symantec
doesn't ruin it. :(
