SBS 2003 server setup with Exchange 2003, using Watchguard Firewall/Router
Device. All workstations joined domain fine and can access files, print
serivces, and internet. Server can only ping the Watchguard Firewall of
10.1.1.1, but nothing else! Not using ISA server and only one NIC is
installed.

If you are going to use a device like this you really want the two nic
config
It will make your trouble shooting much easier

Post the IPconfig /all from the server and a workstation

I respectfully disagree that two NICs are needed in this setup - everyone
has their preference, and mine is to avoid multihomed DCs at all costs
(unless using ISA, which requires it, but then, I don't like running ISA on
a DC/Exchange box either). Not trying to start a flamewar. :)

What are you trying to ping?

What's the default gateway set to on your server? It should be 10.1.1.1.

I have to admit I'm overly not fond of Watchguards (I think their interface
is as complicated as a higher end Cisco, etc., but isn't anywhere near as
powerful) but there's probably something wrong in its configuration if your
server has the identical settings for gateway & DNS (itself) and still can't
access the Internet, ping a DNS server on the internet, etc -

Everyone is welcome to their opinion.
I just feel like its easier to trouble shoot the puzzle if its in smaller
pieces
