Hello all,
I have just discovered the "revolution" known as a newsgroup, so forgive me
if I sound a little ignorant.

I have SBS2003 running on a dual proc machine using 6gb for the os and 154gb
for storage, no RAID (I know I'm bad but keep reading.) I want to do a
fresh install of SBS2003 to a single proc machine with RAID. Different
chipset, different NICs, different CPU brand, different everything.
what I want to keep from the old server is all of the settings (AD,
exchange, SQL, ISA, etc.) and not the programs (it has gotten clogged over
the last year from trying different things, and now we know what we want to
keep and don't mind reinstalling those programs.) I have read the posts in
the group about dsrm, but don't think that it will work for me as I want to
dump the junk out and not migrate it to the new machine. I thought we could
accomplish the task using the built-in backup wizard, but the KB article
specifically states to restore the settings to the same type of hardware,
which we are not. Any suggestions / help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jon
