Allowing user to add cusom controls |
|
|
Hello all,
Firstly apologies if this post is unclear!
We have ba number of custom user controls, such as the 'Rate this page' user
control that Microsft User.
Now, is there a way within MCMS to allow a user to add the user controls in
the same way that they could add text. So they could add a new page, base it
on a template then drag in the user control?
Thanks all,

Hi Jon,
sounds as if you are looking for SharePoint Web parts rather than MCMS.
MCMS does not allow this out of the box.
But honestly that is not a MCMS question at all as MCMS templates are
nothing but a normal ASP.NET web form with some MCMS specific controls on
it.
So the best way to check if someone has implemented something like this is
to post it to an ASP.NET related newsgroup.
Cheers,
Stefan.
