DB2OLEDB provider problem after SNACLient 4 Uninstall |
|
|
Hi,
We have unistalled Sna Client 4.0 to install HIS 2004 Client.
We performed simple Uninstall without any problem, then we installed HIS
2004 Client with DB2 OLEDB driver.
Now we cannot acces DB2 using ASP/ASPX applications and we recive a message
that say "No provider was found".
If we create a UDL file, the connection test completes succesfully.
If we try these application on server where there wasn't previously
installed SNA client 4 everything works fine.
Anyone experienced the same problem?
Thank you,
Ruben. |

Ruben-
We have tightened security in HIS 2004, thus you need to add the ASPNET or
IUSR_COMPUTERNAME (depending on which you are using) to the HIS Runtime
Users group and then restart IIS.
Check out the following two KB articles:
883842 You receive an error message when you try to access the OLE DB
Provider
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=883842
884377 You cannot access OLE DB Provider for DB2 and ODBC Drivers for DB2
from
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=884377
