Hi,

In our environment we are experiencing a new problem.
We cannot test performance on windows 2003 server that run HIS 2004 and are
configured in a SNA subdomain.
When we try to test performance remotely and we browse for the list of
counters, the console stops responding and after 2/3 minutes a POPUP alerts
"unable to connect to machine"
Sometime we can't either connect remotly to the event viewer or to browse
network shares and we recive popup "server RPC too busy to complete this
operation".

Anyone experienced the same or similar?

Thanks in advance

Ruben

Have you disabled the remote RPC or remote registry services?

What other functions is the remote box doing? It may really be too busy
doing other OS functions.

These services are enabled.
These servers are WebServer or Batch/Fileserver.
They are not so busy, we can connect with terminal service and if we specify
the share name we can even connect to it (ex. \\SERVERNAME Doesn't work -
\\SERVERNAME\SHARE WORKS!)

After reboot we can browse EventViewer remotely or connect to browse the
shares but if we try to test performances these services stop working.

Thank you,

Ruben
