Administration - Changing from Sponsor Connections to Active |
|
|
When HIS was installed, we were not using AD. Now I have to change
from SNA Subdomains and sponsor connections to AD. I set up a service
account in the new AD domain; SNAPrint is now running under that
account successfully.
I'm now supposed to "unattach" from the old domain and "reattach" to
the new AD. OK, I can do that, but I'm worried because in the
installation manual it sounds like I can only use AD and enter an OU
if it was done during initial installation. Do I have to completely
reinstall?
I found the installation disk, with HIserver.schema on it. Do I have
to install that? I also found that in the installation manual. Can
you tell I just inherited HIS?
I also found a place in SNA Resource Location Wizard, where I could
check AD and fill in an OU. If I'm supposed to do that, when? Before
or after I unattach/reattach? Right now it's protected, but maybe
that's because all I have done is get SnaPrint running under an AD
service account.
I'd appreciate help, or explicit directions about what I have to do
first. Should I be going back to the original sponsor connection
service account before doing anything else?
What a mess. Thanks for your help.

P.S. Jeremy answered my original questions, but that query was too
old for a direct response. |

Never mind. Needed quicker answer, so opened service ticket, and John
Wu answered. Was OK to just migrate and then run Resource Location
Wizard. Thanks John. |
