This might be easier to read depending on your newsgroup client.

Issue: When running the Administrator client as a user that does not have
Administrator rights on the local machine, the Options to start and stop
SNA Connections or LUs are not available. They are grayed out on the
toolbar and are not listed in the Context menu. As soon as the user
account is granted Administrator rights to the local machine, they
received the start and stop options. (Power Users also do not have start
stop option.)

Futher Information: We are needing this to allow our support center to
reset Hung LUs without them having administrative rights to the local
Management System on which the Administrator Client is running.

Thanks,

Curtis Smith

Curtis,

I *think* this is fixed in HIS2004, which can manage HIS2000 fine, so that's
an option perhaps...

This will not be a vailid option for me because we have not purchased HIS
2004 and the only HIS 2004 software I have is the 120 day eval.

Curtis - you probably only need to buy one upgrade license to then be able to
use the new admin client wherever you need. But you shouldn't take my word for
this - best to check with MS licensing folks.

I think your only other alternative would be to develop you own interface
using the WMI api to control the HIS resources.
